Leo and Scorpio are three signs apart, a square, which Hellenistic astrologers treat as a hard configuration. Leo is a masculine, fixed fire sign and Scorpio a feminine, fixed water sign, so both are fixed, a quality the tradition calls solid. The Sun rules Leo and Mars rules Scorpio, so no ruler is shared, and neither has dignity in the other's sign. Under sect, the tradition's sorting of planets into day and night teams, the Sun is on the day team and Mars on the night team. That adds a second split to the square. Scorpio is also the sign of the Moon's fall. Hard describes the geometry, not a forecast. Using a square between two people's signs is an extension of a one-chart idea.

Reviewer's notes
Aspects/aversion by sign (Ptolemy I.13, I.16), dignities, genders and modalities confirmed; the block already says it applies a one-chart doctrine to two people's signs as an extension, which is this page's choice and not an ancient claim.
