Leo and Capricorn are five signs apart, and Hellenistic astrologers place them in aversion, so the signs do not see each other by any aspect. Leo is a masculine, fixed fire sign and Capricorn a feminine, cardinal earth sign. The Sun rules Leo and Saturn rules Capricorn, and both planets belong to the day team under sect, the tradition's sorting of planets into day and night teams. Saturn is in detriment in Leo, a concept the tradition names explicitly only late, while the Sun has no dignity in Capricorn, which is the Moon's detriment. Aversion here means no geometric link, not hostility. The tradition's focus would be each lord's own condition in an actual chart. Aversion is defined inside one chart; reading it between two people's signs is this page's extension.
A note on “detriment”: the early Hellenistic texts note a planet opposite its own sign without naming it. The term is defined only in late and medieval sources, and scholars disagree on whether the idea was implicit earlier.

Reviewer's notes
Aspects/aversion by sign (Ptolemy I.13, I.16), dignities, genders and modalities confirmed; the block already says it applies a one-chart doctrine to two people's signs as an extension, which is this page's choice and not an ancient claim. Added a note that detriment is a late-named concept.
